Agri-Food Workforce Development 

SECC provides an 8-week training program with your business designed to prepare job seekers for careers in the agri-food sector. 

How Employers Can Get Involved:

  • Participate in a 30–60-minute feedback interview
  • Share hiring needs and skills requirements
  • Host site tours or hands-on learning opportunities
  • Be a guest speaker or provide input on training content.
  • Participate in job shadowing/job placement

What’s Included in the Training:

  • Industry-specific skills: automation, equipment maintenance, quality control, food safety
  • Workplace readiness: communication, teamwork, problem-solving
  • Real-world learning: site visits, guest speakers, hands-on training
