Support SECC – Fundraising That Fuels Community Care

Every year, South Essex Community Council hosts fundraising events in a variety of formats—from community walks and bike rides to seasonal campaigns and donor drives. No matter the format, every dollar raised goes directly back into our community, supporting vital programs and services for children, youth, newcomers, seniors, and families. When you give to SECC, you’re helping your neighbours thrive.

Two Events. One Mission. Your Support.

Fundraise for Community Impact

This October 4th, South Essex Community Council (SECC) invites you to rally for our community through two exciting fundraising events—Ride for Refuge and the SECC Ride & Stride. Whether you’re a passionate cyclist, a weekend walker, a donor, or a cheerleader, there’s a way for you to get involved and make a real difference for people who rely on SECC’s programs and services.

Two Ways to Ride, Walk, and Give Back

This fall, SECC is proud to host two exciting fundraising events on the same day—giving everyone a chance to join the movement in their own way.

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back? Ride for Refuge is a family-friendly cycling and walking fundraiser that welcomes all ages and abilities. This event offers a variety of routes—2.5K or 5K walk, 10K or 20K ride—perfect for casual riders, walkers, and community supporters. Whether you're participating, cheering from the sidelines, or raising funds as a team, every step and pedal helps SECC continue to serve those who need it most.

Are you an avid cyclist looking for a meaningful ride? Join us for the SECC Stride & Ride, a 50K bike ride from Point Pelee National Park to Kingsville and back. This event is designed for experienced bikers who want to combine their passion for cycling with a purpose.  Whether you ride, sponsor, or volunteer along the route, your support helps strengthen SECC’s community programs.
