Seasonal Support, Year-Round Care

At SECC, we understand that certain times of the year can bring unique challenges. Our Income Support Services are designed to help individuals and families in our community navigate these times with the resources and assistance they need. Whether it’s keeping warm during winter or getting financial guidance during tax season, SECC is here to support you.

Coats for Kids

Everyone deserves to stay warm during the colder months. Our Coats for Kids program provides gently used and new winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to those in need throughout the community. Distribution typically begins in late fall and runs through the early winter months.

How to Access:

  • Families can contact SECC to arrange a time to pick up winter gear.
  • Donations are accepted year-round, and we encourage community members to contribute clean, gently used winter clothing.

Income Tax Appointments

Filing taxes can be stressful, but our Income Tax Services make it easier for eligible individuals and families. SECC offers tax preparation assistance through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. Our trained volunteers help ensure that you receive the benefits and credits you are entitled to, providing peace of mind during tax season.

How to Access:

  • Contact SECC to schedule your session or learn more about eligibility requirements and to book an appointment.

Keep the Heat

Staying warm during the winter months is a basic necessity. Keep the Heat is an emergency energy assistance program that helps individuals and families facing financial hardship with their heating bills. SECC partners with local utilities and funders to provide short-term relief to those struggling to keep their homes warm during the coldest months of the year.

How to Access:

  • If you’re struggling with heating costs, contact SECC to see if you qualify for assistance.
  • Our team can guide you through the application process and connect you with additional resources if needed.
