Supporting the Well-Being of Children and Youth
SECC provides a number of programs for children and youth in our community. All programs include opportunities to make friends, volunteer, learn about different cultures, build academic skills, explore the “arts” and participate in sports and rec.

Camps
South Essex Community Council offers a variety of engaging camps for children in grades 1-8 throughout the year, providing fun, learning, and opportunities to connect with peers. Each camp takes place in a safe, inclusive environment where kids can make friends, develop new skills, and create lasting memories. All camps include arts and crafts, fieldtrips, sports, games and more.

Ignite Academy Grade 2-7
Ignite Academy is the first community-designed Cradle to Career solution from ProsperUs. Aimed to bolster literacy and math competencies, the program operates after school four days a week, targeting students from grades 2-7.

Youth Programs
SECC’s Youth Programs provide a supportive and inspiring environment for youth to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and prepare for the future. Through engaging activities and mentorship, participants can explore their potential and make meaningful connections.
